This week at Sprout Studio we have been busy working with a local Norfolk school to celebrate the planting of 480 gorgeous trees and shrubs! Every child across the school has been allocated their own tree so the fingers at Mundesley School really couldn’t get any greener.
The saplings have been awarded to the school by the Woodland Trust and will be planted on the school grounds this week.
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest wood conservation charity, and works tirelessly to protect, restore and create British Woodlands-by standing up for trees! You can find out more about them here.
“We are creating thousands of new woodlands across the UK. Working with volunteers and landowners we are enriching local landscapes and unlocking the benefits of natural woodlands for future generations.”
Woodland Trust
With such a great initiative and collaboration between nature and young people, Sprout Studio couldn’t help but cheer! In honour of this super week we have been busy exploring the idea of habitats and homes for tiny creatures with the students at Mundesley School and have created a fun craft activity for little hands to get involved and get building.
Check out our colourful array of tipis, dens and huts, built using material the children collected themselves fresh from the outdoors.
A big thank you to all the children who participated and to the Woodland Trust for their generous donation of resources. We had such fun creating them all, which one do you like best?
To make your own Woodland craft follow the steps/link below. Ask your parents to send in your pictures to izzy@sproutstudio.co and we will share your handiwork at the Sprout Studio online Gallery.
Come on Let’s Grow!
Lots of love Sprout x
